The ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 culminated in an edge-of-the-seat final at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, where Pakistan A defeated Bangladesh A in a dramatic Super Over to claim their record third title.
The match was a rollercoaster, with both teams finishing their 20 overs tied at 125 runs.
First Innings: Pakistan A Posts Fight Total
After Bangladesh A won the toss and elected to bowl, Pakistan A found runs hard to come by against a disciplined attack.

- Spin Dominance: Pakistan A’s spinners, led by Sufiyan Muqeem (3/11) and Arafat Minhas (2/5), exploited the gripping pitch, triggering a major collapse. Bangladesh A was reduced to a seemingly hopeless 53 for 7.
- Late Heroics: Rakibul Hasan (24) provided much-needed stability, but it was the dramatic partnership between Abdul Gaffar Saqlain (16*) and Ripon Mondol (11*) that stunned the spectators. The pair blasted three massive sixes in the penultimate over from Shahid Aziz, pulling Bangladesh A to a tied score of 125/9.
The Super Over Decider
With the match tied, the final was decided by a Super Over, where Ahmed Daniyal became the Pakistani hero.
Bangladesh A’s Batting: Bowling first, Ahmed Daniyal (named Player of the Match) showed incredible composure. Despite a five-run wide that raced to the boundary, Daniyal quickly struck, dismissing Abdul Gaffar Saqlain and Jishan Alam in successive balls to restrict Bangladesh A to just 6 runs in three balls.
Pakistan A’s Chase: Needing 7 runs for victory, Pakistan A clinched the target in just four deliveries. Saad Masood hit a crucial boundary off Ripon Mondol on the third ball, sealing the win and Pakistan’s record third ACC Rising Stars title.
