The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the complete schedule for the upcoming domestic cricket season. The calendar is packed with major tournaments, highlighted by the commencement of the Ranji Trophy elite competition starting on November 3rd.
Ranji Trophy: Elite and Plate Divisions
The premier first-class tournament, the Ranji Trophy, will be divided into two phases: the league stage and the knockout rounds.
- Elite Group League Stage: Runs from November 3 to December 24.
- Group A: Features traditional powerhouses, including Mumbai, Rajasthan, KSCA, Railways, UPCA, Punjab, Saurashtra, and Orissa.
- Group B: Includes Baroda, TNCA, Haryana, Delhi, Gujarat, Bengal, and MPCA.
- Elite Knockout Stage: Scheduled for January 2 to January 23 (of the following year).
- Plate Division: Matches are set from November 3 to December 9. The semi-final winners advance to the Elite Knockout stage.
